No plan to filter Internet, says Rais

Information Communication and Culture Minister Rais Yatim today dismissed news reports that the government was designing a China-style filtering software to block 'errant' websites.

However, he said that three ministries have been tasked to look into ways to curb the spread of lies and seditious materials on the Internet.
