In the ongoing attack on MIC president S Samy Vellu that he is the sole reason for MIC's debacle in the 2008 general elections and that he has become a liability to Barisan Nasional, we should not forget that the policies implemented by the leadership of Umno and BN were also the key reasons that allowed Samy Vellu to perpetrate his wrongdoings on MIC to the extent that the party's future and relevance is being questioned today.
