Penang PKR will come up with KPI report cards next month, the first since the general election, on all its elected representatives, said its chairperson Mansor Othman.

He said the state disciplinary committee headed by Penang assembly speaker Abdul Halim Hussain has been tasked to prepare the report cards by year end.

He said the report cards would be used as a yardstick to review and measure the Key Performance Index of each assemblyperson.

Based on the report cards, he said the state committee would take corrective actions to improve on each representative's weakness and performance level.

He said this at a press conference at Yayasan Aman last night to when announcing the new state party line-up. PKR has four parliamentarians and nine assemblypersons.

The assemblypersons are Deputy Chief Minister I Mansor (Penanti), state executive councilors Law Choo Kiang (Bukit Tambun) and Abdul Malik Abul Kassim (Batu Maung), Ong Chin Wen (Bukit Tengah), state assembly deputy speaker Tan Hock Leong (Machang Bubok), Maktar Shapee (Sungai Bakap), Sim Tze Tzin (Pantai Jerjak), VS Raveentharan (Batu Uban) and deputy state youth leader Jason Ong Khan Lee (Kebun Bunga).

The MPs are PKR supremo Anwar Ibrahim (Permatang Pauh), former state liaison committee chairperson Zahrain Mohamed Hashim (Bayan Baru), state youth chief Yusmadi Yusoff (Balik Pulau) and Tan Tee Beng (Nibong Tebal).

Mansor was picked to replace Zahrain as the state chief by the party's top leadership late last month.

New line-up

Zahrain, who is the Bayan Baru division chief has now moved up to the party's political bureau, considered to be the most powerful decision-making body in PKR.

The new line-up saw Law being appointed as Mansor's deputy, while Abdul Malik, Maktar and Raveentharan are the vice-chairpersons.

Senator Mustafa Kamal Mohd Yusoff was retained as secretary alongside Francis Joseph as treasurer.

mansor othman 300909 Mansor said he expected the new liaison committee line-up, which did not see a major reshuffle, to be the state team until the next general election.

Mansor also echoed Anwar's 'toe the party line' ultimatum issued to leaders and members, especially the elected representatives earlier in the week.

"Everyone must toe the line. They must shape up or be shipped out," he said.

He added that his policy would be to minimise internal squabbling, factionalism and politicking so that leaders, members and elected representatives can focus on serving the people.

On working relationship between PKR and other Pakatan Rakyat allies - the DAP and PAS, he said all the leaders involved were professionals who can work together responsibly.

"There are differences on certain policy matters and decision making. But the issues are not unsolvable as made out by the media," he said.
