The police were today urged to reveal the status of their investigation into a police report lodged against two Al-Islam magazine’s journalists.
Complainant K Sudhagaran Stanley had lodged the police report last year alleging that the two journalists who - on the pretext of checking out a claim that Muslims were being converted to Christianity - entered a Catholic church in Kuala Lumpur and took part in the holy communion.
Sudhagaran (

Sudhagaran told reporters the police had yet to record his statement although the report was lodged in July last year.
"Why the delay?" he asked when met in front of the Dang Wangi police district headquarters in Kuala Lumpur this afternoon.
Further investigations
He said the police had told him last August that the investigation papers had been submitted to the Attorney-General’s (AG) Chambers but were sent back for further investigation.
Sudhagaran, 25, said that he had also sent an open letter on the matter to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, Inspector-General of Police Musa Hassan, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Koh Tsu Koon and Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein three weeks ago but there has been no response yet.
Xavier said this was the third reminder. He added he believed the police had completed their probe and their findings were now with the attorney-general.
Asked on their next course of action, he said: "We are waiting to see what the AG will do."
Meanwhile, at a function at the Police Training Centre also in Kuala Lumpur, federal CID director Mohd Bakri Zinin, when appraoched, said he was unaware of the status of the probe and would have to check.
