Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan told the Kuala Lumpur High Court today that he did not pass motion for two days after he was sodomised by Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim.

He was testifying under examination-in-chief by lead prosecutor Solicitor-General II Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden on the third day of Anwar's sodomy trial.

In his statement, Mohd Saiful said he went to Hospital Pusrawi for a check-up after feeling pain in his anal region.

He was then asked if the doctor there had, during his examination, enquired about the gravity of the pain, to which Saiful replied: "I told him I just felt painful and... I informed him straightaway about what had taken place.

"He (the doctor) immediately took a swab sample," he recounted. 

The prosecutor then asked if Mohd Saiful had passed motion prior to the examination at Hospital Kuala Lumpur later on the same day. He testified that he had not passed motion during the two days. 

He also testified that the black trousers he was wearing on the day of the incident was a gift from Anwar.

Today's proceedings started at 9.51am with Mohd Saiful testifying on the samples taken from his body.

Second visit to condominium

During the examination, Mohd Saiful revealed that he considered Anwar a charismatic leader and that he idolised him since he was young.

Mohd Saiful, 25, who is a former aide of Anwar, was the first witness to take the stand when the trial started before Justice Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah on Wednesday.

Mohd Yusof later told the court that he had completed his examination-in-chief on Mohd Saiful.

He also said that all parties in the case would revisit the Desa Damansara condominium where the alleged sodomy took place following a request from the defence.

The court then stood down at 11.15am for the visit.

Meanwhile, several police vehicles, including two water cannon trucks, were stationed outside the Jalan Duta court complex following reports that Anwar's supporters might stage a demonstration in the area after the Friday prayers.

Anwar, 63, is charged with sodomising Mohd Saiful at Unit 11-5-1 Desa Damansara Condominium, Jalan Setiakasih, Bukit Damansara, between 3.01pm and 4.30pm on June 26, 2008.

He was charged under Section 377B of the Penal Code and faces up to 20 years' jail and whipping upon conviction.

EARLIER REPORTS : The court paid its second visit to the condominium in Bukit Damansara where the alleged act of sodomy was said to have taken place.

12.47pm : Members of the court leave the condominium. The trial was adjourned to Monday.

Anwar’s lawyer Sankara Nair said another police report will be lodged against Utusan Malaysia and Sinar Harian for photo captions on their front page today.

10.55am : Police trucks have been spotted near the Federal Territory mosque, just opposite the Jalan Duta court complex.

10.51am : Mohd Yusof asks Mohd Saiful if the Hospital Pusrawi doctor had enquired about the pain he felt when he went for the check up.

10:50am : Mohd Saiful was wearing a grey Levi's underwear on the day of the incident. The pack containing the underwear is opened.

10.45am : The black trousers, allegedly a gift from Anwar, is displayed in court.

10.41am : Mohd Saiful identifies the clothing he had submitted as evidence. He said he wore the white shirt, which was produced in court, on the day of the alleged incident.

Mohd Saiful said he was wearing a 'G2000' brand green shirt when he lodged the police report. Also tendered was a tube of 'KY' jelly lubricant.

10.34am : Besides the long-sleeved T-shirt, Mohd Saiful said he also submitted two pairs of underwear, one worn on the day of the incident. One was dark blue and the other a 'Levis' brand grey underwear.

10.30am : Mohd Saiful said his entire body was photographed during examination by doctors.

10.07am : Mohd Saiful said he passed his shirt to the investigating officer on June 29, 2008, a day after lodging his police report.

10.07am : A sample taken from Mohd Saiful's anal region is opened and verified by him.

9.53am : Mohd Yusof  introduces the prosecution and defence teams. He is now submitting evidence to be itemized in court.
