Enforcement teams to curb Hulu S'gor profiteering
Five price monitoring teams comprising of 25 officers have started monitoring the price of goods to check profiteering by unscrupulous traders.
Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the teams would check the price of goods in Hulu Selangor as it had seen an influx of visitors since the by-election was announced.

"The monitoring teams are helping the local officers to check the price of goods and identify traders who had increased prices," he said after a walkabout at Kuala Kubu Bharu market and the farmers' market here today.
Ismail said he found that traders in Kuala Kubu Bharu had not increase the price of goods and also put up price tags.
He reminded traders not to take advantage of the situation by increasing the price of goods but to increase supply to meet higher demand.

The by-election on Apr 25 will be a four-cornered fight between P Kamalanathan of BN, Zaid Ibrahim of PKR and independents Johan Mohd Diah and VS Chandran.
