Police are expected to take a week to complete their report on the death of ex-assemblyman Abdul Aziz Mohd Noh and his aide, said Selangor police chief Khalid Abu Bakar.

NONE The former Permatang assemblyman and personal aide, Siti Rohana Ismat, 43, were found dead with gunshot wounds in the head in a car which crashed at the North-South Highway near Sungai Buloh yesterday.

Khalid said the report would cover three elements namely the post mortem, ballistic and forensic report.

"This is a normal procedure in a murder case. The ballistic report will establish the trajectory of the shots and so on.

"The post mortem will uncover other evidence while the forensic report will gather physical evidence at the scene including from the car," he said when contacted.

He said the investigating officer for the case had recorded statements from the deceased's friends based on the data stored on their mobile phones.

Several more individuals would be called in to facilitate the investigation, he said.

Khalid also said that in the urgency to complete their report, police need to be mindful of the emotional state of the families of both victims.

"We cannot simply go and question those who are still grieving. We should be mindful of their condition," he said.

Meanwhile, crime analyst Kamal Affandi Hashim said there were several theories for the incident but only the post mortem, ballistic and forensic reports could establish what really happened.

"The bullet trajectory could shed light on whether the shooting was deliberate or whether the shot was fired from a close range; the forensic report would establish who fired the shot," he said.
