Umno and Perkasa are 'Siamese twins'

your say 'Their views and actions are inseparable. Why was MCA chief Dr Chua Soi Lek grilled by the police but not Perkasa?'

Boycott Perkasa events, Umno leaders told

Not Confused: Once again, Umno shoots itself in the foot. Many of the top people in Umno, including Najib Razak and TDM (Tun Dr Mahathir) have openly supported Perkasa by appearing at their events and just being seen with Ibrahim Ali.

It's too late to try and distance yourselves from the racist rabble that is Perkasa. The damage is already done, and it cannot be undone. Just keep it up Ibrahim Ali - you will be seatless and powerless after the next general election. I, for one, cannot wait.

Big Boss: Don't be fooled. This is just a ploy by Umno - in front of the non-Malays, it says we BN will distance ourselves from Perkasa, but behind the scene, they will say this to Perkasa, "Kita main wayang kulit je, kan kita abang adik!"

And the sad thing is MCA and Gerakan are knowingly and willingly being made used of in this entire episode.

Rakyat Malaysia: It is all a drama mooted by certain quarters so that the non-Malays would throw their support behind Umno again. Perkasa has been told to be extreme so that the non-Malays would see Umno as being more reliable.

UdinTogel: Well, this is what I smell - Perkasa is created to shift people's perception about BN. See how extreme Perkasa (Ibrahim Ali) is. The reason is to make people hate them. And now as you can see, one by one, people from MCA, Umno, Gerakan and even Parti Cinta Malaysia start to condemn Perkasa.

Soon, when people see this, they will said what BN is doing is right. Then it will become relevant again...

JBGUY: (Parti Cinta Malaysia vice-president) Huan Cheng Guan, you should hold your support until Umno decides to ban Perkasa. Just like how they banned Hindraf for its racialistic demands, Perkasa should face the same faith.

Why are different rules being applied by the home minister? Is he a closet supporter of Perkasa? After all, wasn't he the one who mollycoddled the cow-head morons? YB Hishammuddin Hussein, please take a leaf from your father and grandfather and do the right thing even if it means antagonising certain powerful individuals.

Your family has left a sterling legacy, so don't taint it.

Terus: Syabas Umno for doing the right thing even if the old man (Dr Mahathir Mohamad) may not approved. No right-thinking Malaysian should give support to racist organisations like Perkasa. Ibrahim Ali is nothing, and he will lose his seat come the next general election, and this will include all those who are Perkasa members. Good riddance to them.

Anonymous X: The mainstream press, especially Utusan Malaysia and some Umno leaders have lured Perkasa into a false sense of complacency. Just when the head of this animal got really big and ugly, it was cut off by its 'creator' as it was getting out of control and posing a threat to its 'creator'.

We should all thank Utusan and its wonderful columnists for helping to give credit and publicity to Perkasa.

Kgen: Perkasa has no bargaining power with Umno. If not BN, who are disgruntled Perkasa Malays going to vote for? Pakatan Rakyat?

Simon Lee: The world knows that Umno and Perkasa are Siamese twins. Their views and actions are inseparable. Why was MCA chief Dr Chua Soi Lek grilled by the police but not Perkasa?

Who directed the police to grill this BN leader based on a report by Perkasa ? How come this Chua fella, a "friend" of Umno, don't know that his "friends" are stabbing his back?

Any idiot knows Umno is behind Perkasa and is giving them total freedom as well as a printing licence to spew racism and spread hatred with impunity, while Malaysiakini , the Pakatan Rakyat's organs and Catholic Herald are threatened, denied licence and even banned by Umno.

Anak Pulau Pinang: Well said Parti Cinta Malaysia, we need leaders like you. Don't worry what other people said, do what is right for the rakyat.

Trublumalaysian: This is a typical Umno sandiwara (shadow play). Perhaps, PM Najib Razak means well with his ‘1Malaysia', but certain party warlords will ensure this doesn't happen.

Nothing radically new here, folks. The general election is on the cards and these are mere smoke signals leading up to the big day. As for Ibrahim Ali, he wants a piece of the action and the Umno warlords are giving him little by little to see how much he can froth in the mouth to help achieve their ends.

Freemsia: Najib propagate 1Malaysia, and yet he speaks at Perkasa events. If this is not hypocrisy, I do not know what is.
