MCA vice president Ng Yen Yen has reiterated that the party did not ask Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Mohamed Nazri Aziz to resign or apologise following his controversial comments on MCA, MIC and Gerakan.

NONE Ng, who is also the Tourism Minister, said everyone had the right to voice out their comments but also must observe the ethics of the BN.

"For MCA, the most important persons whose opinions matter to us are Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin. So we are not going to be bothered over Nazri's comment," she told reporters after attending the 1MCA Medical Foundation fund raising dinner in George Town yesterday.

She was responding to a Nanyang Siang Pau report on Wednesday, quoting Nazri as comparing MCA's current situation to "a wife who complains all day long that she was being abused, raped and not given enough food, but yet does not want to divorce her husband."

Earlier today, speaking in Padang Rengas, Perak, Nazri had said that there was no need for him to apologise for the remarks as they had been misinterpreted by the journalist conducting the interview.
