Fake stickers are being printed in "mass quantities all over the nation" as an act of organised sabotage against the Bersih 2.0 electoral reform rally, PAS claims.

"We have received information that the stickers are being printed in mass quantities in Johor and also, we believe, all over Malaysia.

The fake stickers, said Salahuddin, were being printed with the words "Bersama kita tumbangkan kerajaan sekarang. Buktikan kita mampu seperti Libya." (Let's overthrow the government now. Show that we can do what was done in Libya).

(The Libyan government of Muammar Gaddafi is still in full control of the country).

"This is a meticulous and organised plan to sabotage Bersih," he said.

Salahuddin said PAS was in consultation with its lawyers and would lodge a police report on the matter once it obtained at least one of the fake stickers.

"I think, they want to equate us (Bersih) with what is happening in the Middle East," said Kuala Krai parliamentarian Hatta Ramli.

Poko Sena MP Mahfuz Omar, who was also at the press conference, said the fake stickers were an attempt at reverse psychology by certain quarters to turn the people against the Bersih movement by injecting the false call to "overthrow the government".

Kuala Selangor parliamentarian Dzulkefly Ahmad went on to challenge Umno Youth, in particular its head Khairy Jamaluddin, to guarantee that its members would ensure a peaceful rally on July 9.
