Umno Youth delegates took turns to bash Pakatan Rakyat for administrative ‘weaknesses’ in the four states it governs, and warned that the situation must be prevented from worsening.

NONE Umno Youth leaders of Kedah, Selangor and Penang also pledged to ensure that Umno and BN regain control of these states.

Kedah Umno Youth head Badrul Hisham Hashim cited a decline in foreign direct investment compared to when the state was run by BN.

His Selangor counterpart Ungku Md Salleh Ungku Jamal cited the increase in illegal gambling outlets in the state and also the Pakatan Rakyat leaders’ involvement in sand-mining activities.

NONE Penang Umno Youth chief Shaik Hussein Mydin ( left ) was the most vocal, saying that PAS and PKR had became bapok (soft) and pondan (transvestites) for succumbing to Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng’s direction.

Shaik Hussein said that since DAP’s rise to power, Malays and Muslims have lost out, and PKR and PAS have not been able to do anything about this, even though they are part of Pakatan.

“PKR and PAS ... do not fight for the Malays under DAP rule, as a result of DAP having obtained the majority of the seats,” he alleged.

"Malays have lost its dominance under Pakatan rule in Penang, and there is a need to reclaim it.”

Penang Malays treated as 'barua'

He said DAP-led Pakatan government in Penang had treated the Malays as barua (tools), which is a highly offensive word to the community.

" Tiba-tiba mereka batalkan perarakan Maulidul Rasul. Surat rasmi kita ada. Dia (Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng) memusuhi Melayu dan Islam secara terbuka. Rasis .

" Tak kira Melayu, Cina atau India, sesiapa yang menyokong DAP, mereka dari bangsa bangsat ," said Shaik Hussin. (No matter whether they are Malays, Chinese, Indian or Kadazan, whoever who support DAP, they are a bastard race.)

" Saya ulang sekali lagi, DAP adalah bangsa bangsat ."

Kelantan delegate Anuar Safian criticised Menteri Besar Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, describing him as “a wounded tiger’ who should be replaced for failing to implement hudud law as he had pledged.

"We pledge to reclaim Kelantan for Umno even it is by a single seat. We have managed to regain Galas. Kelantan does not have ample time as PAS leaders are only interested in enriching themselves," he claimed.

Anuar further said that for Kelantan, he is ashamed that the state is still having problems in getting a proper water supply.

He said Umno Youth is confident that the problem will be resolved wholly if Umno and BN win the state.

“Kelantan Umno liaison chief Mustapa Mohamed has promised that if Umno regains power, the water issue is to be resolved within two years.

“This is the pledge and we in the movement are confident that this is attainable under Umno and BN,” he said.

The delegates from the opposition-held states are sharing their experiences to make sure that other states do not fall to Pakatan and to regain it for Umno.

Malacca wants movement to work hard

Malacca delegate Karim Yaakob said Umno has managed to win all of its seats in the historical state.

“Malacca Umno Youth pledge there will not be any green flags (PAS) to win there.

“Our formula is simple - work and work and work and die working,” he said in Hindi to the laughter of the delegates.

NONE Pahang delegate Ahmad Jimi Slamat, described Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar and Kuala Selangor MP Dzulkefly Ahmad as “Si Kitol” (traitors) for supporting Tony Pua (Petaling Jaya Utara MP).

“They relentlessly attack the Kedai Rakyat 1 Malaysia. What they fail to realise is that it provides opportunities for the small and medium sized industries to sell their products.

“It is helping to provide cheap quality products to consumers and why do you oppose it and Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob?”

While earlier today Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin had proposed various solutions to resolve problems faced by the younger generation, including having the government form a Youth Bank to help give affordable loans, not many of the delegates are able to give similar solutions.

Khairy had earlier in his policy speech said the movement had transformed from being a movement of saying rhetoric to becoming solution-based, organising the BN Job Fair and BN Youth labs.

After the closing of the Umno Youth AGM, Khairy told journalists that he was aware of foul language being used by a few delegates.

"I'm quite happy with it (the overall debate). Of course, one or two things said were a bit inappropriate.

"I have already mentioned it to the speakers in term of the language used which I thought was inappropriate," he said, adding that the debate in totality was quite good in term of suggestions and policies raised.
