Selangor PKR announced another round of ceramah tour to ensure that Pakatan Rakyat retains the state and takes over Putrajaya in the coming general election.

The tour named "Jelajah Selangor" with the theme "Strengthen the People's Victory, Capture Malaysia", will cover all the parliamentary and state seats likely be contested by PKR.

NONE Selangor PKR publicity chief Shuhaimi Shafiei ( left ) announced that kicking off on Oct 14, the tour will take in the Selayang parliamentary constituency which embraces the two state seats of Rawang and Kuang.

"The rallies are in preparation for the coming general election, we will focus on the seats contested by PKR," said the Seri Muda assemblyperson at a press conference today.

PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim will join in with his "Jelajah Merdeka Rakyat" tour, on Oct 21 at Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Langat and Kapar parliamentary constituencies, and on Oct 28 at Hulu Selangor.

Shuhaimi said that the Selangor PKR will also hold a dinner at the outdoor car park at the Melawati Stadium, Shah Alam, on the night of Oct 21.

The tour will end on Dec 8 at Pelabuhan Klang state seat which was won by Badrul Hisham Abdullah only to hop over to Umno later.

Selangor PKR deputy president Zuraidah Kamaruddin and secretary Amiruddin Shari were also present at the press conference.

The PKR Women's wing chief dared Muhyiddin to ask Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to announce the date for the election or at least come out with the name of Umno's candidate for Selangor menteri besar.

"If Muhyiddin doesn't dare announce it, then Selangor PKR sees this ‘recipe' as being still far from being complete and to become a stale recipe," she said, adding that the statement revealed that he cannot wait to replace Najib as Umno president.

As Najib had announced the Umno general assembly date, Amiruddin followed suit, declaring that all Selangor party divisions will hold their annual meetings from Sept 9 to Oct 14.

Speaking to Malaysiakini later, he said Selangor PKR has learnt that the party's national congress will be put off for another six month in the event that the polls are called.

He added that this annual event is normally takes place at the end of November.
