The opposition are the "shit stirrers" of the country, said Federal Territories Minister Tengku Adnan Mansor.

azlan "They stir things until they become chaotic," Tengku Adnan said in the Parliament lobby this morning, when asked whether or not he supports the abolition of the Sedition Act.

He did not however state his stand on the call to repeal the Sedition Act.

"You know what my answer is," he merely said.

"We are a multiracial country, so we are thought to be tolerable.

"But you see lately that has not been the case," the BN secretary-general said.

Perception war over graft

Meanwhile, Tengku Adnan also opined that the corruption perception index figures released by Transparency International Malaysia (TI-M) yesterday was down to perception.

"We are fighting a perception war. We are talking about human beings here. There's always the taker and the giver," he said.

"The giver has to stop first," he added.

He also said that it is not fair to say that the police is the most corrupt in the country.

"It could be enforcement officers as well, they consist of so many people," he added.
