This follows the case of the Malaysian couple who have been charged in Sweden with alleged abuse of their children.
Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister Hamzah Zainudddin ( right ) said this when replying Annuar Musa (BN-Ketereh) in the Dewan Rakyat during Question Time this morning.
Not all Malaysian Tourism officers are granted diplomatic status, as this depends on the countries concerned, he said.
For instance, Azizul Raheem - the children’s father - was granted diplomatic status in South Africa, but not in Sweden.
