Perak DAP chief Nga Kor Ming is upset with a report highlighting his kung fu stunt during the Teluk Intan campaign trail, which resulted in him suffering an injured ankle.

Nga was referring to a report in The Star today, which said he tried to kick a booklet at a ceramah on Monday, but missed and landed awkwardly on his right leg and hurt his ankle.

Nga took issue with what the daily said he was trying to kick at during the ceramah at Anson Industrial Park.

" The Sta r lied. What I kicked was an anonymous leaflet that is defamatory and against election law. The Star should apologise," he said in a Twitter posting today.

The newspaper did not identify the source of the leaflet but merely stated it was material in support of BN candidate Mah Siew Keong.

Mah faces DAP's Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud in tomorrow's by-election.

A video recording of the ceramah on YouTube shows Nga complaining about the anonymous leaflet.

"Many of you may have received this anonymous leaflet. There is no publisher or printer's name... if you see this just throw it away," he said before flinging it away.

The video then moves to his speech, without showing what came after.

The Star reported that Nga was still recovering from his injury when met in Kuala Kangsar yesterday, while paying his respects to the late Sultan Azlan Shah.

The Teluk Intan by-election was triggered by the death of its MP Seah Leong Peng earlier this month.
