Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim will not attend a PKR disciplinary board meeting on allegations against him slated for 3pm today.

He instead suggested that the meeting be postponed to Aug 15.

                

Speaking to reporters today, Khalid said he could not attend this afternoon's meeting as he would be meeting Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Abdul Wahid Omar to discuss the 11th Malaysia Plan (RMK-11).

The menteri besar also confirmed that he submitted a written reply this morning, via his political secretary Mustafa Mohd Talib, to a show-cause letter issued by the board.

Responding to a question, Khalid said he had not discussed the current political imbroglio with Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

The menteri besar had earlier accompanied the sultan, who addressed state Islamic religious department (Jais) officials at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (SSAAS) building.

Earlier, PKR disciplinary board chairperson Tan Kee Kwong confirmed receiving Khalid's reply, which was personally handed over to him.

He also revealed that the menteri besar would not be attending this afternoon's meeting.

In a related development, PAS has once again postponed a crucial meeting to discuss the position of Khalid as menteri besar.

Initially the meeting was to have been held on Aug 10, but was postponed to Aug 13.

However, PAS secretary-general Mustafa Ali said today that the meeting would be held on Aug 17 instead.

Speaking to Harakahdaily , Mustafa said this was because some of the leaders would not be free to attend the Aug 13 meeting.

"This meeting is important. So PAS wants to ensure that all can attend," he added.
