PAS has received a ticking off for its vague and undecisive position on the Selangor menteri besar crisis following Abdul Khalid Ibrahim's expulsion from PKR on Saturday.

Former Bar Council president Ambiga Sreenevasan said PAS should follow DAP's example and swiftly make its decision, for the sake of the Selangor people.

"DAP's response on the MB issue was quick and unequivocal. PAS should decide as quickly, because the people of Selangor deserve to know," she said in a posting on Twitter today aimed at PAS leaders.

"Pakatan should be aware that many in Selangor are truly sick of the present crisis. They need clarity fast," she added.

Yesterday DAP held a central committee meeting and decided to support PKR's decision to nominate its chief Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as the new menteri besar.

DAP said its 15 assemblypersons support PKR's decision and called for Khalid to step down in a dignified manner.

PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim was present at the meeting, and said he will go to PAS next to secure its decision.

PAS however has remain steadfast that it will make a decision during its meeting on August 17.

Until then, its members have vowed to abide by its syura council to support Khalid as MB pending further discussions.

Meanwhile state excos from all three parties have decided to stay in office to enable the state government to continue to function.

DAP has three exco members, while PAS has four and PKR has three.
