MUKTAMAR Malaysia Airlines air stewardesses need to put on more modest attire to receive Allah's continued protection in light of the airline’s twin disasters, Flight MH370 and Flight MH17.
This was the gist of a resolution that was passed at the PAS Youth muktamar in Kota Tinggi today.
The resolution, which was put forward by the Youth wing’s executive committee, noted that the twin disasters were a "lesson".
"A few changes need to be implemented by the MAS management and the Malaysian government, so that the aircraft and crew are always under Allah's protection.
"Therefore, the PAS Youth muktamar today proposes that MAS air stewardesses be compulsorily made to wear clothing that covers once's modesty (tutup aurat), as has been practised by a number of countries," the resolution says.
PAS' Bachok MP Ahmad Marzuk Shaary, who tabled the resolution, also proposed that prayers be played prior to MAS aircraft lifting off and touching down.
"These are critical moments for an aircraft," Ahmad Marzuk said.
Likewise, he said, alcohol on board the aircraft, which he described as a form of vice against Allah, must also be done away with.
The resolution was passed by a majority of the more than 700 delegates present.
