Although the 24 hour deadline has not lapsed, Kinabatangan Umno Youth have lodged a police report against PKR lawyer Latheefa Koya over her tweet against Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin. 
 
“Kinabatangan Umno Youth chief lodging a police report at the Bukit Aman police headquarters,” Bung tweeted last night. 
 
He also shared a picture of the Umno Youth members lodging the report against Latheefa, who called for Bung to be “eliminated”.
 
The MP yesterday said he would lodge a police report if Latheefa fails to apologise within the next 24 hours.
 
Latheefa had tweeted: "Before we abolish the Sedition Act, it is better that we eliminate that MP Kebinatangan first."
 
She had said so in response to Bung's call to the government to use the Sedition Act on anti-sedition campaigners.
 
She has since deleted the tweet.
 
In the police report lodged against Latheefa, Kinabatangan Umno Youth chief Aksyah Nasrah said that Latheefa’s statement was considered as a “threat” against Bung.
 
He also said that she had purposely used the word ‘Kebinatangan’ (animal-like) to replace ‘Kinabatangan’ to refer to Bung.
 
“It is obvious that she had referred to Bung in that statement, even more so since there was no denial on her part.
 
“The statement is a threat to his (Bung’s) safety and is a total insult to the people of Kinabatangan in general,” he said.
 
Aksyah also urged the police to take immediate action by investigating the matter.
 
“Arrest Latheefa for investigation purposes and do so immediately to avoid untoward things from happening,” he said.
