Kinabatangan MP Bung Moktar Radin has asked Lawyers for Liberty co-founder Latheefa Koya to apologise to him over a tweet she made, asking him to be "eliminated".

Bung said he would lodge a police report should Latheefa fail to apologise within the next 24 hours.

"I give you 24 hours to provide an explanation and to apologise. If not, I will lodge a police report," he tweeted today.

Latheefa ( right ) had earlier tweeted "before we abolish the Sedition Act, it is better that "we eliminate that MP Kebinatangan first" in response to Bung's call to the government to use the Sedition Act on anti-sedition campaigners.

"They are asking for the Act to be abolished. That means they have ill intentions. Better catch them early," Bung said in Parliamen t during Question Time.

However, Latheefa has since deleted the tweet.

But a Twitter user by the name of Khairul Rizal Osman managed to ask Bung whether Latheefa's tweet was a death threat to the former.

Responding to Khairul's tweet, Bung then tweeted the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to investigate Latheefa's statement, saying that the threat was "extreme" (melampau).

Retorting back, Latheefa tweeted, "Childish! pdrm (police) bukan (not) your private bodyguards!".

As for Bung asking her to apologise for her tweet, Latheefa instead "gave" him 24 hours to retract his "threat" against anti-sedition campaigners.
