DAP vice-chairperson Teresa Kok was today banned from entering Sabah.

She was due to witness the installation of the Sandakan DAP Wanita wing tonight but was stopped from entering at the Sandakan airport, Sabah DAP deputy chairperson Stephen Wong said.

"Is she a terrorist and doing crime in Sabah? (This is) political suppresion against her...," he said in a statemet.

He said Kok was sent back on a plane to Kuala Lumpur without any reason given or any chance to negotiate the ban.

In a Facebook posting after landing at KLIA2, Kok said she was not informed why she was barred from entering Sabah.

"(The Immigration Department officer) only said it is on instructions of the Sabah government," she said.

"This is how the BN Sabah government treats me. I was not informed of the ban before I left and I wasted six hours going to and from Sandakan on the same plane."

She said that she has always championed the 20 point agreement which grants Sabah immigration rights and respects it but believes she is no enemy of the state.

"I ever said anything to hurt Sabahans but have fought for their rights and welfare especially for Sabahans in the interiors."

Kok is heavily involved in DAP's project to assist those in the Borneo states' interiors, Impian Sabah and Impian Sarawak.

She is also barred from entering Sarawak and was issued a special pass to attend the funeral of Sarawak Opposition Leader Wong Ho Leng.
