Cloudy weather predicted for Pmtg Pauh polling day

PMTG PAUH Cloudy weather has been predicted in the morning of polling day for the by-election for the Permatang Pauh Parliamentary seat, according to a spokesperson of the Penang Meteorological Department.

He said the cloudy weather followed the rain forecasted in the offshore areas of the state. However, the weather was expected to be bright in the afternoon.

“Generally, the weather tomorrow is expected to be good. The accuracy of the weather forecast is 80 percent,” he said when contacted by Bernama in Butterworth today.

The Permatang Pauh by-election will see a four-cornered fight between Suhaimi Sabudin (Barisan Nasional), Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail (PKR), Azman Shah Othman (Parti Rakyat Malaysia) and Salleh Isahak (Independent).

It is being held following the rejection of the petition for a royal pardon sought by the member of Parliament for the constituency, Anwar Ibrahim through his family members, thus causing him to lose his eligibility as an elected representative.

A total of 71,252 ordinary voters will discharge their responsibility tomorrow.
