Quit if you don't like your boss, DPM told

Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin should quit if he doesn't like his boss Najib Abdul Razak, the pro-Umno blog MYKMU says.

"If you're not sure you can ensure Umno and BN's victory, if you can't give a good perception of Umno and BN, and most importantly if you can't be a good deputy, follow the advice below," the blog said today.

This message is carried in a paragraph above a video clip of Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Mohamad Hasan telling those unhappy with Najib to quit.

The blog was responding to Muhyiddin's comment yesterday that Umno and BN would lose in the next general election if Parliament is dissolved today.

He said this was due to a perception crisis over the 1MDB controversy.

However, MYKMU said the deputy prime minister's remarks have only served to worsen perception on the ruling coalition.

"What kind of advisers and officers surround Muhyiddin, who told him that if he said ‘BN would lose if elections are held tomorrow’,it would give a positive perception of BN?

"Maybe it is the same advisers and officers who told him that by saying ‘I am Malay first, Malaysian second’, it would boost his image as a leader for the multiracial people of this country," the blog quipped.

Meanwhile, in a separate posting, the blog published screenshots of what it claimed to be a WhatsApp chat between Umno Youth leaders plotting Najib's downfall.

In it, a special officer to a top Umno Youth leader is seen criticising how the prime minister acts like a chameleon.

"Look at how the PM changes, 9am he's different, 11am he's different, and 1am he's different.

"So what, lets just topple him. The PM has begged the chief (Khairy Jamaluddin) for support," the officer says.

An Umno Youth exco member then sends a text saying he has not used his full arsenal to attack Najib's camp.

"I'm not using that many assets to attack them… Don't want to expose them to TF and Farid goons," he said. It is not clear who ‘TF’ and ‘Farid’ are.

In May, MYKMU reported a similar plot by Umno Youth, which was vehemently denied.
