'Reshuffle Parliament nomination committee first'
Parliament's nomination committee must be reshuffled first before new members of the Public Accounts Committee can be appointed, said a BN lawmaker.
Kota Belud MP Abdul Rahman Dahlan said this was because there have been certain political developments which have yet to be reflected in the nomination committee.

Kota Belud MP Abdul Rahman Dahlan said this was because there have been certain political developments which have yet to be reflected in the nomination committee.
This, he said, includes Muhyiddin Yassin being dropped as deputy prime minister and G Palanivel's removal as MIC president.
"So what do you do with it […] is it Palanivel or S Subramaniam (as the new MIC president)?
"Then we have Muhyiddin. He used to be the chief whip in Parliament in his capacity as deputy prime minister," he said.
As such, Rahman ( photo ) said there is no way new PAC members could be selected without the nomination committee being reshuffled first.
Emergency session?
The PAC is in limbo now after Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak appointed four BN lawmakers, including committee chief Nur Jazlan Mohamad, to the cabinet.
There are now calls for an emergency parliament session to be held before the October session so that a new PAC chief can be appointed.
The committee is currently probing allegations of misappropriation by the finance-ministry owned 1MDB.
