A banner offering new PKR members RM100 for signing up is false, said the party.

Its communications director Fahmi Fadzil has accused the enemies of PKR for putting up the banner.

"Based on internal reports, various provocative banners have come up throughout the Klang Valley, including in Shah Alam and Gombak.

"Among others, the banners allege that PKR will pay each new member RM100, or that there is a 'Rawang Move' meant to replace the current (Selangor) Menteri Besar (Azmin Ali).

"These banners make absolutely wild and false claims and are baseless. I condemn them," Fahmi ( photo ) told Malaysiakini .

He added that party members have been instructed to take down the fake banners.

A photo of the banner offering RM100 was shared on social media today.

The banner says those who sign up to join the party can claim the cash gift at the PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya.

The 'Rawang Move' is a reference to an alleged plot where former Umno man turned PKR member Saifuddin Abdullah would contest in a by-election in order to replace Azmin.
