Muhyiddin's fate in Najib's hands, says Zahid
Umno deputy president Muhyiddin Yassin’s fate will be decided by the wisdom of the party president, Najib Abdul Razak.
The party’s vice-president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who said this added that party investigation papers have been prepared to determine whether utterances made by Muhyiddin as of late had gone against the party’s constitution.
“I don’t think the action against him must be done hastily. What that is the priority is the president’s wisdom.

“Although we listen to the voice of the grassroots as well as the delegates, we will leave it to the president to decide on the matter,” he said at a press conference at the PWTC today.
No other agenda
Meanwhile, Zahid said matters related to Muhyiddin will not be raised at the special supreme council meeting tonight.
“Normally, we will discuss preparations with regard to the general meeting. I don’t see any other agenda (for discussion),” he said.
Umno secretary-general Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor yesterday said Muhyiddin had crossed the line with regard to a speech he made on Monday night.
Tengku Adnan also said that Muhyiddin might lose his position as Umno deputy president.
Muhyiddin in his speech had asked Najib to 'take a break' pending investigations into state-owned investment firm 1MDB.
