No Johor rep at yesterday's Conference of Rulers meet

Neither the Johor Sultan nor his representative attended the 241st meeting of the Conference of Rulers which was held at Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

The day-long meeting of the Conference of Rulers was attended by all Malay rulers except for Johor which did not sent any representative to the meeting, national newswire Bernama reported.

Malaysiakini is contacting the Johor palace and state government on the matter.

The Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir chaired the meeting which started at 11.15am.

All rulers present were accompanied by their respective menteri besar of their states, except for Kelantan where the Deputy Menteri Besar Mohd Nik Amar Nik Abdullah stood in for the Kelantan menteri besar who is unwell.

The governors of Malacca, Penang and Sabah also attended accompanied by their respective chief ministers.

Sarawak was represented by Speaker Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar.
