K KANGSAR POLLS DAP national publicity secretary Tony Pua has called on voters in both Kuala Kangsar and Sungai Besar to give Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak a black eye come polling day on June 18.

This is for the 1MDB fiasco and the billions of ringgit that went into his private bank account, said Pua.

"We need this chance - the twin by-election to convey him a message that we will give him a blackeye," he told a crowd of some 1,000 during the ceramah held at the Kuala Kangsar town centre.

He urged voters to punish Najib for the billion-ringgit scandal.

"Najib is the most shameful prime minister in the country," Pua said, adding that he had snatched away monies from the state-owned fund, a subsidiary of Finance Ministry.

"We should be angry with Najib, we have no choice but to vote for Amanah," he said.

"This is an issue that should be equally consider by the supporters of BN, we cannot support the party blindly," he said.

Pua has spoken at length on 1MDB and the luxurious lifestyle of Najib and his family.

"1MDB is a state-owned company, it's owned by Malaysians. He used 1MDB to become rich and for his extreme luxurious lifestyle," he said.

"Do we want a corrupted leader like this ?" he asked.

"You should brainwash the MCA and Gerakan guys and ask if there's somehing wrong with them," he told the crowd who attended the Super Saturday ceramah tonight.

"This is very clear cut (issue), (there is )no need to consider any more, just oust him," he added.

"We need to send two Amanah MPs into Parliament to create a new political tide before the next general election," he said.

Others present included Amanah president Mohamad Sabu, PKR vice-presidents Nurul Izzah Anwar and Tian Chua, DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang and secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.

Despite the rain that fell during the ceramah, the crowd still stayed back and listened to the leaders' message.
