Pahang mufti Abdul Rahman Osman has rued the response towards his ‘kafir harbi’ remarks, saying that fellow Muslims should have assisted him in explaining the term.
Hitting out at those who do not respect state muftis, Abdul Rahman said Islamic organisations and Muslims alike must assist in clarifying remarks made by state religious leaders.
“This is so that the non-Muslims would understand a particular matter and would not be confused,” he said in a press conference organised by the Gabungan NGO Islam Malaysia in Putrajaya today.
