Former journalist Sidek Kamiso, who was arrested earlier today for allegedly insulting Islam over the death of PAS spiritual leader Haron Din, is now on police bail after the court denied the police's request for remand.
"The court denied the remand as requested by the police so he's on police bail, but right now he's still in the police station.
"He's not been released as yet, but that's what we've been told by the police," his lawyer Siti Kasim told Malaysiakini today.
