PKR Youth has questioned the quality of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's defenders, such as red shirts leader Jamal Md Yunos.

"Those who dwell in toilets are usually devils. Those who hold press conferences in toilets are more or less the same," PKR Youth deputy chief Afif Bahardin said.

He was referring to Jamal's press conference yesterday, which was held in a toilet where the Umno man flushed down a letter of demand from Bersih.

Bersih had sought an apology from him for claiming they were linked to the Islamic State militant group.

Speaking at a press conference in the PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya, Afif said Jamal's actions were against Malay values.

"What he did was biadap (rude) and does not reflect Malay values.

"The image of our prime minister is being defended by someone like Jamal.

"That's the level our prime minister is at," Afif added.

He has called on police to take action against Jamal and the red shirts, saying they were a threat to public order.

The pro-government red shirts are set to clash with the opposition-backed yellow clad Bersih in major rally set to be held on Nov 19 in Kuala Lumpur.

The Bersih 5 protest will call for institutional reforms, as well as for Najib to step down.

The premier has been accused of misappropriating public funds, allegations which he has consistently denied.
