Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali has defended his claim that a federal minister was quitting over the 1MDB scandal, claiming that he was informed of this by the minister himself.

"The information (came) directly from the said person. Just wait, we will make the announcement," Azmin told journalists at a dinner function in Klang tonight.

It is unclear if the opposition has a hand in the planned resignation of the said minister.
