PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang said PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli should seek forgiveness from Allah as he should know his accusation against the Islamist party was a "300 percent lie".

"I forgive him for the sins he has committed by accusing the party of receiving funds (from 1MDB) but he has to seek forgiveness from Allah.

"As a Muslim, he should know very well what are dosa (sins) and pahala (rewards). He should repent," Hadi told reporters upon arrival at the Sultan Mahmud Airport in Kuala Terengganu yesterday evening, as reported by the New Straits Times.

Rafizi had previously claimed that an individual close to the PAS leadership had received funds originating from 1MDB, through Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's accounts.

PAS leaders have denied these allegations and challenged him to file a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), if he has the proof as claimed.

However, Rafizi claimed that MACC had already traced the funds to that individual in its course of investigating 1MDB.

He also revealed that it was a former top-ranking leader who has "been a bridge between Umno and PAS" and said he would expose more details later this week.

Najib has consistently denied abusing public funds for personal gain, and claimed that the RM2.6 billion in his personal accounts was a donation from a Saudi royalty and did not originate from 1MDB.

Attorney-general Mohamed Apandi Ali has also cleared the prime minister of any wrongdoing.
