MUKTAMAR | PAS has turned the tables on those accusing it of working with BN, by implying instead that splinter group Amanah is the one in cahoots with the ruling coalition.

PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the two groups were working together to capture Kelantan from PAS.

"Recently in Kelantan, the deputy prime minister (Ahmad Zahid Hamidi) had announced intentions to turn the state (BN) blue.

"Now we are no longer facing old foes. There have emerged those whose shirts are orange, who also declare that they want Kelantan.

"It looks like they are working with the 'blues'," Tuan Ibrahim said at the PAS Youth muktamar in Alor Setar, Kedah, today.

Orange is the party colour of Amanah, while blue is BN's colour.

Previously, critics of the Islamist party have accused it of teaming up with BN, citing PAS' refusal to work with the rest of the parties in the opposition.

In a press conference later, Tuan Ibrahim said Amanah will be the one to disrupt efforts to topple BN.

However he said if Pakatan Harapan - the coalition which Amanah is in - would stay out of PAS seats, then an opposition victory is possible.

"If they avoid (three-cornered fights), PAS will avoid it too," he said.

He however ruled out forming coalition state governments with either former ally turned foe DAP, or Amanah.

But when asked whether PAS was willing to work with DAP to form the coalition government, Tuan Ibrahim gave a vague reply.

"That is in the future, we will see then," he said.

As for PKR, Tuan Ibrahim said the party still had an alliance with them, and that it is up to the Syura council to decide otherwise.

PAS is aiming to bag five states in the next general election, namely Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Pahang, and Selangor.
