Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Noh Omar has urged Selangor Menteri Besar Mohamed Azmin Ali to come clean on the progress of developments around Paya Indah Wetlands.

At a press conference today, Noh claimed that the project had commenced without approval from the National Physical Planning Council chaired by prime minister Najib Abdul Razak and with representation from all state governments.

"A meeting was held two weeks ago and Selangor was represented by state exco Iskandar Samad.

"During the meeting, the (project) paper was not presented because there were 135 complaints from various agencies, that if the project was to proceed, there would be damage to the eco-system," Noh said after attending the Selangor Youth Day celebration at Petaling Jaya today.
