The Selangor Information Technology & Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) is leading a delegation of five innovative startups from Selangor to participate in two major international events — World Expo 2025 Osaka and SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025, from 4 to 12 May 2025 in Japan. This initiative, supported by the Selangor State Government, aims to support the growth of local startups by providing them with international exposure and the opportunity to connect with investors, industry players, and ecosystem partners from around the world.
The mission is part of Sidec’s ongoing efforts to promote digital entrepreneurship and to help startups from Selangor explore new markets and partnerships. The five startups selected to represent Selangor are:

GoFluence Holding 🔗 gofluence.io
Neupulse Sdn Bhd (BiiB) 🔗 getbiib.com

Each of these startups brings unique value propositions in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital marketing, community engagement, sustainability consulting, and agritech—demonstrating the diversity and potential of Selangor’s startup ecosystem.
From 4 to 7 May 2025, the delegation will take part in Selangor Week at World Expo 2025 Osaka, held at Yumeshima Island. Sidec will lead the Digitalisation sub-theme under the broader theme “Building A Resilient Future”, aligning with the expo's main theme, "Designing Future Society for Our Lives".
In collaboration with agencies such as the Smart Selangor Delivery Unit (SSDU), Cyberview, and Monsta, Sidec will coordinate a series of engaging programs including:
Panel discussions featuring tech experts and policymakers
Live startup pitching sessions to potential investors
Fireside chats with founders and industry leaders
Speed networking for strategic business connections
These sessions are designed to showcase Selangor’s innovation potential and to position the state as a key player in the regional digital economy.
Following their engagement in Osaka, the delegation will continue to SusHi Tech Tokyo 2025, held from 8 to 11 May 2025 at Tokyo Big Sight. This high-profile startup conference, organised by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors and feature more than 500 exhibiting startups from across the globe.
At this event, the Selangor delegation will be featured at the Malaysia Pavilion, under the coordination of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). Key activities include:
Startup exhibitions and product showcases
Participation in the SusHi Tech Challenge pitch competition
Conference speaking slots and technology tracks on AI, food tech, quantum computing, and sustainable innovation
These platforms will enable Selangor startups to better understand Japanese market trends, explore investment opportunities, and build strategic international networks.
Since 2018, Sidec has helped accelerate over 320 startups through initiatives like the Selangor Accelerator Programme (SAP) and Selangor E-Commerce Xccelerator (ECX). To date, 65 startups have successfully raised a combined total of over RM203 million. Alumni such as Nexmind AI, Seed Dream, Borong, Pomen, and QMed Asia have scaled their operations globally, reflecting the effectiveness of Sidec’s approach to digital ecosystem development.
This mission also aims to deepen cooperation between Malaysia and Japan in digital economy initiatives, technology exchange, and startup collaboration. The Selangor delegation will participate in business matching sessions, policy dialogues, and networking meetings with Japanese corporations, government agencies, and investors.
Sidec’s participation in these two global events is part of a broader mission to position Selangor as a leading innovation hub in Southeast Asia. Through international exposure, partnerships, and technology engagement, Sidec continues to support the growth of Selangor startups and contribute to building a resilient and future-ready economy.
