Applications for the YTL Foundation Scholarship 2026 are now open and will close on 30 April 2026. Established in 1997, the YTL Foundation Scholarship supports deserving Malaysians in pursuing their first undergraduate degree in Malaysia.
As part of YTL Group’s enduring commitment to nation-building, the scholarship reflects the Group’s philosophy of Building The Right Thing, investing in education as a cornerstone for long-term social impact. By empowering talented young Malaysians with access to quality education and development opportunities, YTL Foundation aims to nurture future leaders who will uplift communities, drive progress and contribute meaningfully to the nation.
Beyond financial assistance, the YTL Foundation Scholarship offers a holistic development experience. Scholars benefit from structured leadership and personal development programmes, mentorship and coaching, as well as annual paid internship opportunities within the YTL Group. These experiences are designed to expose scholars to real-world working environments, professional best practices and potential career pathways within a Bursa Malaysia Top 20 company.

To support prospective applicants, YTL Foundation will host a series of online info sessions throughout March and April 2026. The sessions will provide an overview of the scholarship types and benefits, explain the application and selection process and offer practical guidance on preparing a strong application. Participants can engage in live Q&A sessions and hear directly from current YTL Scholars, who will share their academic journeys, development experiences and internship insights within the YTL ecosystem.
“At YTL Foundation our focus is on nurturing well-rounded individuals by providing not only access to education, but also the guidance, exposure and values needed to grow into responsible leaders. Through our scholarship programme, we aim to empower talented Malaysians to realise their potential and contribute meaningfully to the future of our nation,” said YTL Foundation Programme Director, Dato’ Kathleen Chew.
The YTL Foundation Scholarship is open to Malaysian students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership potential and genuine financial need. Eligible applicants must possess qualifications such as SPM or IGCSE, STPM, Matriculation, Foundation, A-Levels or the International Baccalaureate, and be pursuing a full-time undergraduate degree in Malaysia.
Successful scholars will receive comprehensive support, including full tuition fee coverage, living allowances as well as allowances for essential learning tools such as a laptop and phone or data plan.
