I refer to the Malaysiakini report Fairus all set to sue them all .
Fairus Khairuddin was sitting next to the Penang chief minister as the deputy chief minister (DCM) of when he suddenly resigned and relinquished all his posts in the state government.
He even tendered his resignation as the state assembly person for Penanti before the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission found him not guilty of graft.
So why did he resign from his DCM position and as state assembly person in the very first place? The MACC and the Election Commission even indirectly granted him the opportunity to withdraw his resignation but Fairus abided by Anwar Ibrahim's ‘royal decree'!
It is unbecoming of PKR to display such a lack of political ethics in creating such by-elections which are deemed unnecessary and a waste of taxpayers' money not to mention placing undue pressure on the election machinery of Pakatan Rakyat.
The blind, faithful followers of Pakatan Rakyat will now see Penanti as a venue to prove that they are set to harvest another big win to confirm the people's mandate for Anwar Ibrahim while destroying the credibility of Najib Abdul Razak's premiership.
Penanti PAS has already shown signs of protest by freezing their election machinery for the coming by-election, stating that this was the message of the grassroots who are tired and exhausted.
They will not be made use of to fulfil Anwar Ibrahim's dream of distorting the country's political stability in the midst of a worldwide economic downturn.
Do we really have to destroy the political, social and economic stability of our nation for sake of fulfilling Anwar's personal, vengeful agenda?
The reformation experience in Philippines and Indonesia are good examples of precedents that we must learn from. The chaotic situation created by ‘people power' in the Philippines led to that nation becoming the biggest maid exporter in the world.
Indonesia, meanwhile, one of the region's biggest political and military power, has now been reduced to a begging nation. Do we really want our children to go through what our neighbouring countries have experienced?
Do you have faith that Anwar will take our country to the next heights of democratic reformation? Will that reformation make our life better? Is vacating seats for personal reasons an acceptable political process game plan?
Why did Fairus have to resign and vacate his seat while Eli Wong was instead made to retract her resignation? Fairus is now free from MACC charges; he is still eligible to serve the people even if he decides to do away with the deputy chief minister's position.
The possibility of Fairus' political comeback in the future is not very bright even with added academic credentials because the people will not judge him by his papers but by his past record of betraying the Penanti voters to please Anwar Ibrahim's obsessions.
