I am from Klang, Selangor. I have checked with all my neighbours and colleagues. They have reported substantial increase in their electricity bills as well. I have called TNB Customer CareLine to enquire about the billing but they said they are not going to revert their billing strategy used as they have received approval from the Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
The customer service personnel asked me to go personally to Kedai TNB where they will explain the new billing strategy. When I pressed for more, he just asked me to go ahead and lodge a complaint with the Suruhanjaya Tenaga adding that they are not going to change their billing ways even if we complain.
Imagine, if one person has to fork out an extra RM150, if it is three million households, that would easily be about half-a-billion ringgit extra every two months!

‘Saya ingin memohon jasa baik semua kakitangan TNB supaya lebih prihatin terhadap rakyat yang sudahpun tertekan dengan bebanan kewangan. Bil yang pada kebiasaannya dihantar sebulan sekali kini dihantar dua bulan sekali.
Bila dikira jumlah bayaran yang dikenakan untuk tempoh dua bulan tersebut, ia hampir 80% lebih dari kadar purata yang kita harus bayar jika bil dihantar sebulan sekali. Ini berikutan jumlah unit kegunaan melebihi kadar minimum 1000 dengan mudah.
Sekurang-kurangnya jadikan kadar minimum sebagai 2000 untuk dua bulan supaya perkiraan yang dibuat adalah munasabah. Bagi diri saya, saya terpaksa bayar 150 lebih dari yang biasa jika
cara ini diteruskan! Saya enggan bayar bil selagi TNB tidak mengubah semula cara penjanaan bil ke cara yang asal!’
