In view of the current deteriorating moral situation amongst Muslims youth, it would be more appropriate if RTM produced more meaningful religious drama series rather than a continuous stream of satanic movies which does not serve any purpose except to entrench a negative perception of life based on jinns and spirits.

One wonders what the ulama of this country are doing? Instead of promoting a righteous moral society we are establishing one based on the occult and fear.

The ulama should conduct themselves more respectfully rather than be busy wanting to join political parties to enrich themselves.

Indonesia produces several good series such as ‘Cinta Bertasbih 2' which could be shown to us and which is modern and far more appealing than the rubbish we receive.

I am of the view that the minister of information is out of touch with reality because after all these years of current religious programmess which normally dwell on reciting the Qur'an and Fardhu 'Ain produced by Jakim, the current moral trend amongst our youth has not improved whatsoever.

As such, there is an urgent need for a review of RTM’s programmes.
