I am totally dismayed with the behaviour of members of parliament who chose to banter on the World Cup football matches during the recent parliamentary session. They are wasting public funds and resources.

The entertainment allowance should not be given to them in a lump sum. They should be reimbursed only when they have receipts to show for it. There must be accounting control procedures to make sure that everything is above board. If they are not responsible, let's vote them out.

This won't happen if Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad is around.
