Let me first say that Tilda Sosaya's letter

was completely correct. While 67 percent of US citizens support a war o­n Iraq, that's still 33 percent who do not support war.

I can't help but notice that those who support war also don't read newspapers, but that's a thought for the philosophers. However, there does seem to be some small hope. Every day, people are being, mostly unwillingly, exposed to the Truth, something they generally don't like hearing.

You see, we Americans are a rather prideful lot, and we don't like to admit to having made a mistake. We also blindly follow authority.

Needless to say, neither of these trends is particularly good, but that can be dealt with later. What needs to be dealt with right now is the fact that a great many of us seem to be ignorant. Newspapers exist o­nly to bother us with details of the outside world.

Now take all the above information, and then throw Bush, a known war-monger into the equation. What do you have?

A country that blindly follows a man down a path, will not admit they were wrong and so cannot go back, and to top it all off, will never even learn, or care to learn, the horrifying atrocities a war will bring to Iraq.

As I see it, there are still a few options.

Why not change the regime back home? After all, if we're going to oust leaders who didn't win a popular vote, why not get rid of George W Bush? He's a lot closer to home than Iraq, and I'm not sure he's combat trained, as Saddam probably is.

Dick Cheney would be easy to get rid of too. He has heart problems, and a good shock would get rid of him.

Colin Powell isn't an idiot, and he might make a good president. After all, he used to not support a war, and a lot of us think the o­nly reason he does support it now is because of Bush.

Of course, France, Russia, and China could always do exactly what the US is planning to do with Iraq. Set up troops around the country (I'd bet Canada and Mexico would help), and then make a rush to the capital, and then take out the leadership. We'd never expect it, because the last time we were actually attacked was at Pearl Harbor.

But remember o­ne thing: We're not all idiots over here. Just most of us.
