Good Friday is the commemoration of Jesus's crucifixion but importantly it is also a day of hope, peace and justice to all humankind regardless of culture, race and religion. But this semblance of hope, peace and justice had been blatantly denied to Anwar because the Court of Appeal o­n that day dismissed his appeal against the conviction and nine-year prison sentence meted out to him for sodomy, and rejected his application for bail.

The decision of the court is yet another shocking indictment of the Malaysian judiciary of a long series of 'days of infamy', 'travesty of justice', 'black day of judiciary', 'perversion of justice, 'fabrication of evidence', ad nauseam .

The verdict reveals beyond doubt further collaboration of the judiciary's insidious intellectual dishonesty, arrogance, prejudice, immoral and capricious conducts degraded with revulsion and nausea.

The ruling elite and the judiciary are being isolated and riddled with insecurity, self-indictment, self-doubt and anxiety because of the conviction and excessive jail sentence given to Anwar based o­n an unfair, incompetent, flawed tribunal.
