LETTER | Who am I? Irrelevant. But what I am about to tell you isn't.

Growing up, I was told and reminded of the good and bad. At 21, I'm very much aware of the good and bad done around me. As we all know now, our country's general election is very near and let this letter serve you as a reminder of why, we Malaysians, need to stand our ground and be united more than ever in this very trying time.

There are bad people out there who are willing to break us for their own greed and selfishness. People who are willing to break into our homes and take our loved ones, if we deny them. I'm no political writer, in fact, I'm very much an amateur who is seeing things from the outside, like every other regular Malaysian.

You and I, have a very important duty to fulfil these next few days and they are most crucial for the safety and peace of our country. We need to convince. Yes, our duty is to convince our conservative, propaganda-fed, blinded friends and families to realise things were not the way they were 50 years ago.

We need to convince them not with hatred but through reminders of how undivided we are as Malaysians and that we cannot let anyone take that away from us. We need to remind them that there has been evil done in our country and it needs to stop.

And it needs to stop now. We need to stop the people who are trying to divide us if we want our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to live in harmony and peace.

On May 9, we vote and we will vote for change, we will vote for transparency in governance, we will vote for corruption to end, we will vote for those who have done evil in the name of Malaysia to be brought to justice, last and not least, we will vote for a better and a more united Malaysia.

So remind your friends and families that in this trying times, we need to stick together, we need to fight the propagandists and the bad guys, we need to fight for the purity of our beautiful country.

Before my race, I am Malaysian first and this is a message for all Malaysians.
