Najib never disciplined his recalcitrant lieutenants

LETTER | The Sungai Besar Umno division chief Jamal Mohd Yunos whose whereabouts is still at large as far as the government is concerned now re~emerges with more taunts.

He is reported to be claiming he is "still in Malaysia and there is no need for the authorities to involve foreign authorities, including Interpol, to look for him".

This is a typical Umno lieutenant who defies the rule of law.

He had done it on several occasions in the heyday of Umno arrogance and now despite being a fugitive continues to defy the immigration and police authorities.

During his tenure as prime minister Najib Abdul Razak never chastised ~ let alone got people like Jamal to be more respectful of the law and the country's citizens.

Today, Jamal remains unrepentant.

And for as long as we keep witnessing such arrogance for which Umno leaders are still keeping mum, the resurrection of the fallen Umno remains a wasted, wishy-washy dream.

May the long arm of the law send a harsh message to all citizens and party hopefuls that the season for arrogance and disrespect for laws is over by arresting this recalcitrant Umno lieutenant soon.
