I refer to Ken's letter Dr M, please come back and I must say that I am in total agreement. Malaysia needs a PM like him. As Malaysians, our life has not improved much since the 1997 crisis. Dr M saved our country from the IMF during the crisis and I believe our country will be in bad shape now if Anwar Ibrahim or Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was the PM during that time.

I have a few question that I need to ask our PM Abdullah, since he took over as PM in October 2003:

  1. How many times has the petrol price been adjusted?

  • What have you done to fight corruption? What is happening to the Perwaja case?
  • The crime rate in Johor Baru is so bad that people here can't really rely on our police force. Do you know that as our PM?
  • Is the anti-corruption campaign still on? I have seen with my own eyes that corruption is getting worse. Yes, Dr M was aware of corruption in his time but mind you he didn't make any promises about fighting it.
  • Does the government care about Malaysian pockets when they increases the petrol price, the electricity tariff rates, etc?
  • I know there is no way that Dr M can return to the cabinet and that it is also not fair to compare him with Abdullah. But remember that voters had given their full support to BN during the 2004 election.

The recent election results in a state in East Malaysia are already a signal or a warning. PM Abdullah, please do some thing to help Malaysian lives get better, ie, low crime rate, low inflation, more job opportunities. Stopping all the mega-projects will make a lot of Malaysian jobless.
