LETTER | Vaccine sales by Pharmaniaga in M'sia begs vital answers

LETTER | It is reported that Pharmaniaga, the government-appointed monopoly and gateway for the Covid-19 vaccines in Malaysia, has announced that it will be selling several million doses to the country's state governments and also various private sectors.

This comes as a confusing shocker for millions of citizens and may be of importance to vaccine sending countries too.

Can someone please enlighten many of us who are now asking some vital questions?

Number One: Did the government not seek a budget of some billions of ringgit to purchase the vaccines and get citizens vaccinated free?

Number Two: What happened to the vaccines purchased with the government-approved billions of ringgit from taxpayers money?

Number Three: Now if state governments and private sectors have to buy the supplies from Pharmaniaga, who is paying for it?

Number Four: Will those purchasing the vaccines from Pharmaniaga now charge citizens?

Number Five: Didn't someone from Pharmaniaga state in 2020 that all vaccines procured will be free?

Number Six: And by the way, what happened to the donated vaccines from the USA and Japan who each gave one million vaccines?

Hope the MPs and media will help provide legitimate, honest, acceptable and justifiable answers before allegations hit the roof, speculation goes meteoric and finally people end up not vaccinating because they cannot afford it.
