MCA leaders should realise that they are actually testing the Chinese voters' nerves. A majority of Chinese voters supported MCA not solely because MCA has contributed a lot to the local community, but because of its connection with Barisan Nasional and the solidarity and promising future that the coalition brings.

Surrounded by a possible economic hard landing, the SJK (C) Damansara closure issue, latent public discontent over disgraceful corporate governance and an undercurrent of Chinese losing faith in BN, MCA leaders had picked the most beautiful timing to stage its Chinese opera entitled 'The battle for the golden fish head'.

As a Chinese voter, I would like to express my appreciation to BN and MCA for a job well done since Merdeka. However, in the coming general election, if our Chinese leaders find themselves in the unfamiliar situation of those out of favour with the public, they shouldn't be surprised as, after all, they are not the only species swimming in the sea.
