I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Human Rights Commission (Suhakam) on the release of their first annual report.

Although I have only read sketches of the report (since the full version is not available online; I'm currently studying in the United States), I do believe that this report is a cornerstone in the annals of Malaysian human rights' history.

I pray that this would be the starting point for the rectification of the laws that govern our nation, and that this would eventually lead to an egalitarian and united Malaysia.
