I'm all for the MCA takeover of any mainstream publication... as long as afterwards it gets treated like a party publication and is subjected to the same rules that we've imposed on Harakah (and other opposition party organs).

It will be a shame to see Nanyang Siang Pau pulled out of the newsstands (only to be sold to MCA members only) and reduced to being published twice a month, but such is the grave we have dug for ourselves.
